Kiosks (Micro Enterprise Units)

Aims:

1. To provide a low-threshold / inexpensive means of trialling businesses for local people

2. To reflect and contribute to the ethos of the Canning Town Caravanserai

3. To combine trade with the other elements on site of community garden, performance space etc.

4. To pay for the position of a full-time facilities manager to be on site through paying nominal rent for Tenancy

 

Criteria:

Tenants shall be chosen on a short-term basis.

We will consider:

1. The status of the Tenant in regards to their locality and the trialling of their business

1. The quality and value that the tenant brings to the Caravanserai

2. The anticipated duration of the tenant (in preference of longer-term tenants, but with the relisation that the Tenants are trialling businesses)

3. The ability of the Tentant to effectively manage, operate and pay for the MEU
